Project Team

The Real-World Laboratory: Asylum Seekers is based on cooperation between research and practice. The research institutions involved in the project include the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research, the Heidelberg University of Education (PH), the Centre for Social Innovation and Investment, and the Geographical Institute of Heidelberg University. Involved in the practical side of the project are the Rhine-Neckar region and the municipalities of Wiesloch, Sinsheim and Heidelberg, vocational colleges in the three municipalities, the Rhine-Neckar Job Centre, associations, church-based and independent bodies from the field of job market integration and civic engagement, as well as civic structures governing voluntary initiatives aimed at supporting and helping refugees.
